Hello, my name is Sabrina Brewer. I am a stay at home mom of 3 children. Ages 12, 8 and 2. I have been married for 13 years and counting! I attended my first No Excuse Moms meet up in San Leandro, Ca in 2015.  Then we moved and I found the Tracy, Ca group. I have always enjoyed being a part of this group so when I was asked to be a co-leader I was very intrigued, however very hesitant. I knew I wanted to help others and I knew I wanted to also better myself. But this was a choice that I struggled with because I couldn’t help but let fear get into my head. I was worried I wasn’t fit enough or disciplined enough. I truly felt like, “How can I lead other women when I feel like I still have so much more work to do on myself?? How can I get up in front of people and lead a workout when I will be struggling through it myself! Out of breath, a sweaty, jiggly mess!”

I know these are very damaging thoughts, however they were real and true feelings that I had. Then after much encouragement from my leader Amber Thang I decided to get out of my own head and give it a shot. And now I am so very happy and thankful that I did! Being a part of this amazing group has been such a gift! The support, inspiration and motivation that the ladies in this group give has helped build my confidence and has encouraged me to become a better me. I am in such a better mindset now than I was just one year ago.  I have a lot more self esteem and a more positive thought process about myself and what I am capable of. I am in a much happier and healthier place not only mentally but also physically. Being a co-leader has been amazing. I love working with other women who inspire and motivate. . They help me believe in myself more than ever.

So that is why I decided to do the pot challenge this year. I had started my healthier lifestyle in January and I wanted to finish the year off strong. I wasn’t as successful with weight loss as I’d hoped. However, I was very active throughout the challenge and I know I have gotten stronger as well. The thing I struggled with most was being disciplined when it came to my food choices. This has always been the harder part for me. But even with my food struggles I still has some good healthy progress. Although I know I could have had more success if I focused more on my diet. My goal for 2020 is to get my diet dialed in. I have some big hopes and dreams and I know that with the support from all of you amazing women I will achieve them!
