2017 Region 13 Winner: Lenka Tomascova

Hello, my name is Lenka and I am 35 years old mom of two sons. My older one is 16 and younger 2 years old, so I am currently on parental leave. I started exercising in January 2017 because I couldn’t fit into my favorite clothes anymore. I was never too fat, I think my maximal weight was 60kg per my height 158cm. I didn’t feel good in this body and wanted to get leaner. My goal weight is 50kg. I want to reach it by exercising and healthy eating and this challenge taught me both. I used to workout twice or three times a week and mostly my abs because this was my problem area, but I didn’t change my eating.
After two months I found a post from Pavla Jurasek inviting to No Excuse Mom group and mentioning that it’s possible to workout with kids. This was something I was looking for. Pavla is motivating us, creating challenges and organizing workouts, she’s my mentor and supporter.
I joined this challenge because I am a food lover and I used to eat everything what I could find especially during evenings. This became a habit and I wanted to get rid of it. With this challenge everything changed. I removed this habit and completely changed my eating. It is not perfect, but it’s on a good way. I wanted to workout more ,even before this challenge, but due to a lot of responsibilities around the house, garden, my kids and husband I didn’t have enough time. I used to fall into bed from exhaustion in the evening. I was curious if this is going to change too and I have to be honest, I had my doubts. Now I have to say everything is possible even with all those obligations and if you really want, you can do anything.

Exercising during this challenge became a part of my life and I love the feeling when I go workout, even to the next room. I am going to relax, because I can completely switch off and focus on my training. And the feeling after training is priceless, you know what I mean 😉 I even started to attend a jumping class once a week with my friend. Before this challenge I was mostly home since the birth of my second son, so I really enjoy this time. 
I can’t forget to mention my amazing husband because he supports me on this journey and helps me with kids. Without him I couldn’t do all. I even motivated my older son and now my hubby too to start exercising.Even though I have Baker’s cyst on my left leg and it is recommended not to put too much pressure on it, like working out, it didn’t stop me and I am still training. I am using supports, bandages and gels.
Because of this challenge I found a new purpose in my life, new interests and I feel happier, healthier, satisfied and more beautiful.
